Meet Steven Sowry (CES)

Steven joined the Skyhooks team in 2019, initially servicing West Auckland, then expanding across North Auckland as the demand for small-scale, agile lifting solutions grew. He brings over 25 years of experience in the transport industry, with a background ranging from international courier logistics to chiller trucks and specialised freight.

Based in Kumeū, Steven knows the ins and outs of Auckland’s suburban, coastal, and rural properties — and what it takes to get equipment in and out of hard-to-reach places. His local knowledge, industry experience, and can-do attitude make him a trusted partner for builders, homeowners, and trades across the region.

When he’s not lifting loads with the minicrane, you’ll find Steven riding dirt bikes, reffing touch rugby at the local club, or enjoying West Coast summers at the beach. He’s also a loyal follower of the V8 Supercars.
